- Q: How many years have you been teaching for?
- A: I’ve been teaching high school for five years. This is my 6th year teaching high school.
- Q: What college did you attend?
- A: I attended the University of North Carolina. I specialized my studies at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
- Q: What are you looking forward to this year?
- A: Looking forward to working with all the new students this year.
- Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?
- A: Before I was a teacher, I built and engineered things for Broadway, Rock & Roll, TV, and movies.

- Q: How many years have you been teaching for?
- A: I’ve been teaching for four years. I taught at Becton Regional High School and Albert Payson Terhune Elementary School before coming to Ramapo.
- Q: What college did you attend?
- A: I attended The University of the Arts and Caldwell University.
- Q: What are you looking forward to this year?
- A: I am looking forward to getting to know the students here at Ramapo and watching them grow and learn in the art room.
- Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?
- A: I can quote most Disney films.

- Q: Where did you teach prior to coming to Ramapo?
- A: Before arriving at RHS, I taught in Verona for one year.
- Q: What college did you attend?
- A: I attended Ramapo College.
- Q: What are you looking forward to this year?
- A: I’m most looking forward to getting involved and seeing all the cool things that happen at RHS after school hours.
- Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?
- A: In keeping with the Halloween spirit: I can dance the Thriller!

- Q: How many years have you been teaching for?
- A: This is my 23rd year of teaching. I previously taught at Port Charlotte HS (Florida), Montville HS, and Mountain Lakes HS.
- Q: What college did you attend?
- A: College of Saint Elizabeth.
- Q: What are you looking forward to this year?
- A: Getting to know my students and becoming part of the Ramapo community.
- Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?
- A: I have four kids, two cats, a leopard gecko, and a goldendoodle!
Science Department

Mr. Carolan
- Q: How many years have you been teaching for? Where did you teach before Ramapo High School?
- A: I am in my sixth year as a teacher. I previously taught at Woodbury Jr/Sr High School and at Pennsgrove High School, both in South Jersey.
- Q: What college did you attend?
- A: I attended Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, where I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees.
- Q: What are you looking forward to this year?
- A: I am very excited to be here in general. I look forward to working with students who are interested in learning and being a strong addition to an already strong physics team at this school. I’m also excited to live close to where I grew up, and be near to family and friends.
- Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?
- A: I played Ultimate Frisbee in college, and want to start a club here at Ramapo!
Ms. Fan
- Q: How many years have you been teaching for? Where did you teach before Ramapo High School?
- A: I am in my third year of teaching, and I’ve taught at familiar schools including Ramsey High School, Bergenfield High School, and Bergen County Academies before heading over to Ramapo.
- Q: What college did you attend?
- A: I attended the University of Pennsylvania where I received my Master’s Degree in chemistry. I got my Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry from Peking University, and recently attended Rutgers University School of Education to become a certified teacher.
- Q: What are you looking forward to this year?
- A: I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning and growth with my students. Ramapo sports events are so much fun – I enjoy watching my students play and cheering for them. I also enjoy the mutual support [shared morning coffee and snacks included] of the science teachers, as well as the expert guidance from our administrators.
- Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?
- A: I know how to read and write in Chinese, and I also take TaiChi classes!
